84th Annual New England Trust and Wealth Management Conference and Exhibit
This is NOT an ECEPC event. We are providing this information as a service to our members.
The markets have been historically kind to investors and wealth managers over the past year, reaching new peaks and renewing the confidence of many clients that investing for the long term is essential to financial independence. Nevertheless, challenges facing trust departments and wealth managers remain significant. Attracting new clients and retaining the beneficiaries of deceased clients in a very competitive market reinforces the need for banks to emphasize the full range of their resources; investments, tax and estate planning, client services and more.
This year’s conference tackles those issues head-on with topics and speakers designed to attract a wide range of trust and wealth professions; from department heads to junior officers. We are excited to welcome Dr. David Kelly, Chief Global Strategist and Head of the Global Market Insights Strategy Team, J.P.Morgan Asset Management, one of the nation’s leading consultants to the wealth management industry and frequent guest on CNBC and Bloomberg, will be our keynote speaker. Dr. Kelly’s research focuses on investment implications of an evolving economic environment. He has written extensively on all aspects of the U.S. economy and his proprietary U.S. economic forecasting model helps shape his views on both the economic landscape and prospective asset class returns. His keynote address promises to be a must-see event.
Following Dr. Kelly is a great line up of engaging and informative presenters geared at addressing a myriad of pressing topics in the realms of financial investing and estate planning. Matt Moran and his team from Principal Global Investors in Buffalo, NY, will present several forward-thinking strategies for asset management and future portfolio construction followed by an economist from the Federal Reserve who will share their insights about current and future economic conditions to wrap up the morning session.
After lunch with over 20 exhibitors, who help make this conference a reality, Ryan Swartz, Director and Vice Chair at McLane Middleton in Boston will give a presentation on advanced gifting techniques followed by Josh Miller, Director, Atlantic Trust in Boston who will share his top 10 Estate Planning Strategies for 2018. Our conference will conclude with a quick state legislative and regulatory recap presented by Brad Papalardo of the MBA, who will update attendees on the prospects for estate tax reform, the so-called millionaire’s tax and other key stateside issues.
